The Blackwater 10 5 drop down skeg is operated by the paddler from the cockpit, when the skeg is deployed the kayak tracks very well. More experienced paddlers will find the boat tracks well without using the skeg. If you want to explore your surroundings for half a day or so the Blackwater 10 5 is probably one of the best kayaks available. Blackwater 10 5 is available as Standard or Expedition spec, the expedition spec being fitted with a rear hatch and bulkhead. Best-paddled on sheltered coastal waters, estuary's, lakes and canals. Smaller paddlers (5 stone upward) also find the Blackwater an easy kayak to paddle and control.
